The use of DLC finished CPM Magnacut takes things to the next level with high toughness, hardness, and corrosion resistance combined with easy sharpening to create what might be the best all-around steel on the market. Made in the USA, brand new directly from Heretic Knives.
CPM-Magnacut: Developed by metallurgist Larrin Thomas of Knife Steel Nerds, Magnacut is designed to deliver balanced high-performance with high hardness (up to 65 Rc), similar toughness to CPM-4V, and corrosion resistance better than M390, similar to LC200N. Sharpening is relatively easy between CPM-154 and S35VN/S45VN. Magnacut is an excellent all-purpose steel.
