The Boker Bowie Fixed Blade Knife features a faithful design based on the early 19th century, complete with a sturdy 0.25″ thick nitrogen-alloyed Bohler N690 steel blade. The knife is named after legendary pioneer and soldier, James “Jim” Bowie, who is praised as a hero of the Wild West. Unlike the often imitated Sheffield Bowie, this outdoor knife stays true to the original American Bowie, showcasing a stainless steel crossguard with a sleek satin finish. It also comes with a premium black leather sheath inspired by the original design.
Bohler N690 Steel
With its cobalt-alloyed composition, N690 by Bohler (different from the lower-grade N695) is a highly dependable steel used by Boker at their Solingen factory for various projects. This fine-grained steel, ranked above 440C, provides exceptional performance and is sometimes labeled as N690Co, with “Co” representing cobalt and indicating the same steel.
